The Work Place. The Study Place. The Reading Place.
The Research Place. The Movie Place. The Story Place. The Program Place.
How is the Rockingham Public Library your Place?
Your family’s Place? The community’s Place?
December 10, 2016
Consider how valuable the Library is by reflecting on what it brings to our community – recreation and enrichment, new ideas, knowledge, and opportunities for learning.
|* A student researching a topic for a school report||* A toddler attending a morning story time|
|* A man using a computer to apply for a job||* A woman getting audiobooks for a long drive|
|* A grandmother using email to contact her family||* A family attending an author’s workshop|
These people, and many others, are using the Public Library for education, recreation, social, financial, and professional reasons. It is an essential institution in the Town of Rockingham, and a personally important destination for many who live here.
Since 1909, the Library has provided literacy materials for our community of readers. Today, these services have greatly expanded to include a wide array of programs, audio-visual materials, digital e-books & reference databases, technology assistance, and access to wi-fi and computers.
We need your help to ensure that the Library continues to provide these up-to-date materials, technology and programs, to meet the diverse needs of our community. Please consider supporting the Library’s annual appeal – your tax-deductible contribution in any amount is very much appreciated.
