Have you ever been playing your favorite video game, and thought "I could make this so much better?" Youth between the ages of 9 to 14 can now sign up for the Rockingham Free Public Library’s Google CS First Game Design Club to experiment with those ideas and make their own cool computer video games. Kids will build a racing game, a maze game, a falling objects game, and more, then share them with friends and family to play. No computer science experience is necessary. CS First is a free program that increases student access and exposure to computer science (CS) education through programs at the Library. Club sessions will be held Saturdays from 12pm – 1pm in the Youth Department beginning on October 21 and ending on December 9. Spots in the club are limited and registration is required. For more information and to register, contact Sam at the Library at 802.463.4270, email [email protected], or stop by the Library at 65 Westminster St in Bellows Falls, VT.

1:00pm [1:00pm] Old Country Fiddler
Old Country Fiddler Vermonter Charles Ross Taggart was a musical humorist who performed on the Chataqua circuits, made recordings with the burgeoning records companies like Victor & Edison and even appeared in a 1923 Phono-Film “talkie”. Join living history presenter and fiddler, Adam Boyce as he portrays Taggart in his last years of life, reminiscing about his adventures and playing some tunes. This is a Vermont Humanities program.
