September’s Book Discussion: The Double Bind by Chris Bohjalian

A New York Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post and USA Today bestseller, The Double Bind by Vermont author Chris Bohjalian tells the story of the intersection of two lives: that of a young woman, Laurel working at a Burlington Vermont homeless shelter and a former shelter resident, Bobbie who leaves behind a box of exceptional photographs.  When Bobbie dies, Laurel discovers a deeply hidden secret – a story that leads her far from her old life and into a cat-and-mouse game with pursuers who claim they want to save her.    Because one of the main chracters in this book works at a homeless shelter, Louise Luring, director and volunteer for the Greater Falls Warming Shelter  in No. Walpole will be on hand to talk about the shelter as part of our book discussion.
