Making Space for Pollinators

The Rockingham Free Public Library’s summer reading program continues Thursday, July 25, at 5pm with Making Space for Pollinators with The Butterfly Guy.

In this free, all-ages program, you’ll learn about butterflies, bees, bats, and all the important critters that help pollinate our orchards, yards, gardens, and rain forest.

You will also learn how to build and maintain habitats that help our pollinator populations, what time of year to mow fields that is most beneficial to pollinators, and what flowers to grow in our gardens to attract butterflies and bees.

Bring a t shirt (or $4 to buy one) because after the program, make a pollinator t shirt with a combination of dye sprays, plants, and butterfly, bat, and dragon cut outs.

This program is presented as part of the Rockingham Free Public Library annual summer reading program, “A Universe of Stories”, and is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Library 802.463.4270, youthservices@rockinghamlibrary,org, rockinghamlibrary.org, or stop by the Library at 65 Westminster St in Bellows Falls.
