Literary Pinball: Design, Build, & Play

What if you could design your own literary-themed  pinball game from scratch?

In this hands-on maker program, teens will build, customize, and play their own tabletop pinball machines using the PinBox 3000 platform. Working individually or alongside other teens, participants will experiment with design, engineering, art, and problem-solving as they create a playable game of their own. Registration required. Space is limited to 10 teens

Teen After-Hours: Game, Movie & Make Night
Friday, September 18, 5pm–9pm
When the library closes, the teen takeover begins!

Spend an evening at the library with friends, food, games, crafts, movies, and plenty of time to hang out. Choose your own adventure throughout the night

Spill the Tea: A (Boston) Tea Party Reimagined
Saturday, September 19, 11am — Morning Tea
Dump the tea and spill it, too! Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a teen-friendly morning tea featuring tea tasting, snacks, tea-themed games, and a closer look at the events that sparked a revolution.

Explore what it meant to speak out, make your voice heard, and challenge the status quo—and consider what it means for young people to have a voice today. Teens will get to try different teas, create their own tea blends, and take part in activities inspired by the Boston Tea Party.
